Jacqueline James is the youngest of four children born in the mid-60's during the time of the 'Black Revolution', and the freedom marches. She was raised in St. Louis Missouri in the heart of the city through a middle-class family. She became a mother and a very young age, which led her to alternative education. She completed a trade in word processing, at St. Louis Job Corps where she also obtained her GED. Afterwards she attended St. Louis Community College. Later, she extended her family with four additional children and married.
Her first husband preceded her in death. She worked as a home health care provider for elderly and disabled clients. She has a great passion for cooking, which led her to work over the years as a chef at their family restaurant. She continues to cook to this day for each one of their family events. She has also satisfied several catering events, for private parties over the years. She is well known, and loved for her authentic recipes. Jacqueline later remarried and threw that union acquired an infant stepson. Jacqueline and her husband purchased a resale shop, and a hauling company. While her husband worked daily, she was a stay-at-home mom. By the time her stepson reached school age, she divorced. Afterwards, her life would take her on and amazing journey. While her children were coming into their adulthood, attending college, and finding their own way in life. Jacqueline began to express her natural gift in poetry. Jacqueline never learned to type, however she found a unique way to overcome her short comings by using talk-to-text on her cellphone. Then, she would email each poem to herself, edit them using the word document on her computer, then print them. Jacqueline has written several poems over the years during her leisure. However, God has blessed her with the peace and admiration to fulfill her dreams in a beautiful expression of writing, to become a published author. Jacqueline is a spirit filled woman, an active member in the Church of God in Christ, and she's loved by all who meets and greet her. She has a forever given spirit, with a very influential personality. To know her, is to love her, and to accept her charm immediately into your heart. She brings lots of talent and enthusiasm to her writing. Her ultimate goals through her poetry, is to reach a mass audience, to motivate and inspire them with her poems, and allow them to share with her the 'joy' in her Christian walk. |
